From 14 November to 19 December 2022, we ran an exciting competition in partnership with Mastercard that rewarded 75 extremely lucky online shoppers with a R10,000 online shopping spree. All they had to do to enter the competition was use their Mastercard card on any online store that uses Payfast as their payment gateway.

Online stores using Payfast also won
To encourage online stores to share the competition with their customer base, every week during the duration of the competition we randomly selected a business that tagged us on their socials with the competition information to win R10,000 each. By promoting the competition, the businesses encouraged their customers to make purchases and as a result, saw an increase in brand exposure and sales. A win-win for all.
This was the second year in a row that we partnered with Mastercard on this exciting initiative that sought to reward online shoppers for choosing to support small businesses and shop local. We’ve had amazing feedback throughout the campaign and look forward to doing similar initiatives that support local businesses going forward.
